Marcus Keegan formed Keegan Law Firm, LLC in 2009 to focus on the representation of individuals and small businesses in the areas of employment litigation, consumer finance litigation, and business law.  Marcus began his legal career working for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (“EEOC”) Atlanta District Office as a Trial Attorney.  Following his work for the EEOC, Marcus worked in private practice in two law firms, giving him extensive experience representing a wide range of clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies.

Marcus earned a Criminology degree, cum laude, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1995.  After graduating from college, he worked in the criminal justice system of Phoenix, Arizona, including working several years as an Adult Probation Officer.  He also became a certified mediator and conducted mediations for the Maricopa County Justice Courts.  In his capacity as a mediator representative for the Justice Courts, Mr. Keegan served on an Arizona Supreme court subcommittee to determine mediator certification standards for the State of Arizona.  He then returned to his hometown of Atlanta to earn his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2002.

Since 2004, Marcus has given lectures and trainings on Employment Law and Consumer Finance Law and has been named a Lorman Education Services Distinguished Faculty Member.  Marcus is also active in the community, serving on the board of Hope Atlanta since 2007, and providing pro bono legal assistance to the Latin American Association, the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, and The Impact!
