Onome Adejemilua is an associate in the Corporate, Securities and Business Transactions Group. Onome's practice concentrates on general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings for public and private companies, and joint venture arrangements.

Onome has a demonstrated commitment to public service and is actively involved in pro bono work. She represented an asylum applicant from East Africa before the Newark Immigration Court, securing a grant of asylum on his behalf. She also represented a nonprofit cemetery operated by decorated World War II veterans and former Tuskegee Airmen, achieving a favorable settlement in a trial involving allegations of negligent burial service. Onome regularly volunteers with the Newark Reentry Legal Services (ReLeSe), a legal services program designed to enable individuals with criminal backgrounds to achieve successful community reintegration.

Onome is an active member of the community, serving as a member of the Young Professionals Board of NJ LEEP, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on empowering high school students from underserved communities in northern New Jersey through law-related and other educational programs. In addition to serving on the board, Onome mentors high school students in the NJ LEEP Program year-round.

Onome graduated with an Economics degree from the University of Virginia. She received her law degree from Emory University School of Law, where she was a Ben F. Johnson Scholar and served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory International Law Review. While in law school, Onome interned for the Hon. Novalyn L. Winfield of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, and held internships at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the enforcement division of the New York Stock Exchange (now FINRA).
