Traci Bransford serves as outside general counsel to prominent public figures in the sports, entertainment, and media industries. An entertainment lawyer with more than twenty-five years' experience in entertainment law, Traci guides her clients through many aspects of business and nonprofit entity formation and management, including strategizing and structuring their businesses, negotiating contracts, and counseling them regarding intellectual property matters. Traci recently worked on a Stinson Leonard Street team who successfully negotiated several multi-million dollar entertainment agreements with worldwide entertainment partners.
Traci recently represented a production company in its negotiations with a television network resulting in the development and production of a cable television pilot. She also recently represented an independent feature film production company with their post-production and distribution agreements.
Traci focuses her practice on transactional law with an emphasis on the music industry. She has represented clients who are recognized names in the music industry—including recording artists, record companies, music publishers, songwriters, producers, managers, and production companies. Traci also advises visual artists and authors regarding required permissions for use of copyrighted materials. She also counsels professional and retired athletes in their individual business and philanthropic pursuits. Traci advises clients in a variety of areas including sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, touring, collaboration agreements, and merchandising particularly when they involve entertainment or celebrity related issues.
Traci's representation focuses on her commitment to providing superior legal service which has resulted in long-standing relationships with key executives in the entertainment industry. Prior to joining Stinson Leonard Street, Traci practiced in New York City, Beverly Hills and Minneapolis.
Traci began her legal career in California, and after several years of practice she was recognized by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for her diverse litigation skills by being appointed a Hearing Officer to the Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission, where she presided over employment and labor disputes.
